What's New at Thieve's Guild?

Over the last few weeks, the staff at Thieve's Guild has been busy getting the site in shape for the release of Mask of the Betrayer. We have done a major overhaul of the content, adding over 100 pages of new content, most of it related to MotB. The OC hasn't been forgotten either.

In addition to the new content, we have also added a lot of new graphics and artwork to dress up the site. So here is a summary of what we've done so far:

First of all, we've re-arranged the site layout slightly with the three main menus on the left side now running sequentially from Character creation to the Original Campaign and then to Mask of the Betrayer. Makes it easier to find things.

The Character Creation section has a lot of new content from Mask of the Betrayer in it. After some feedback by our members we decided to provide dual links from this section and the Mask of the Betrayer section to that content. Why? Simply because a lot of the new content can also be accessed in the OC and can directly impact your character choices. It didn't make sense to us to separate it from similar content. We've made additions to the Races, Domains, Base Class and Prestige class sections to include the new content added by the Expansion. The biggest addition is the Epic level character section which details Epic level character progression past level 20 and includes a link to a page devoted entirely to epic level feats.

The Original Campaign section has a new section on the companions and a massive new section on Base Classes.

The Mask of the Betrayer section contains the rest of the new content. We started by adding an Overview of the game including details on character importation as well as a link to a spoiler section on the Soul Eater curse. The What's New page contains brief summaries and hot links to detailed pages of all of the new content added by MotB:

  • New Races
  • New Prestige Classes
  • New Base Classes
  • New Spells
  • Epic level characters
  • Epic Feats
  • New Epic level spells
  • New Domains
  • New Monsters

We've also added new sections on Influence (based on Dexters111 guide but converted to actual in game influence shifts), and on Crafting (based on Sajin Gamefaqs guide) and we have individual pages devoted to ALL of the new recipes for item enchanting. This includes recipes for Vorpal blades and Weapons of Wounding to name just two, and a list of all spells used in crafting in MotB.

We've also started an Item ID Database (so far we've added item codes for all of the new essences in the game and some of the special items that you can make from them), a Walkthrough and Maps .

Also, if you look on the left, in the Miscellaneous section, you will also find a full list of feat codes for feats introduced in MotB (and with the v1.07 patch just prior to MotB).

And most importantly we're not done yet. We've been constantly adding content over the course of the last 3 weeks even before the game was released and will continue adding and modifying content. So stop by and take a look. We hope you like what you see.
